GCK Chess Promotion Program - One day crash course for Nursery Teachers

The Vision of globalchess.lk is that “Every Sri Lankan of 4+ knows pawn can become not just the Queen”. It can’t be achieved without the support of the Nursery Teachers. Therefore we have introduced Nursery Teacher Training Program. The objective of the program is to transfer the required knowledge to Nursery Teachers for making the small kids become chess players.

The Benefits of the program for the participants

Zero investment - GCK provides one-day free crash course to make you not just a chess player but also you will be strengthened to combine this educational tool – chess to the existing curriculum.

Value addition - Chess is the fast-growing sport in Sri Lanka. In the near future parents will more focus on educational tools such as chess. Even our intention is to make every Nursery a chess center in 2025.

Competitive skill for your kids -  Chess Federation of Sri Lanka already started Under 6 National Youth Chess Championship from 2020. There are many chess tournaments for small kids. You can guide your kids to participate in the tournaments and start their chess journey.   Once you identified a kid who has the potential to become a strong player.

Become an active member of the Sri Lanka Chess community - In the future, you can organize internal chess events such as knowledge grading camps, building, and drawing activities. You will get the opportunity to assist the events. You may be the first teacher of Sri Lanka Grandmaster.
